Alta Magnolias
Alta is a southern Magnolia
with a narrow growth habit. Alta will reach twenty
feet in height, but less than ten feet in width. The growth is
very dense, with little pruning required. The branching is lower
on the trunk, which gives this variety a fuller look. Alta
has large fragrant creamy white flowers that measure up to ten
inches across. The leaves are glossy green with a rusty brown
back, which gives it a very striking contrast. This variety is
perfect for narrow spaces that other Southern Magnolias would
overwhelm quickly. Full-sun to part-shade is best on all evergreen
Magnolias. Reference: blogaboutplants.com
